Important Changes to Amazon SIPP Chargebacks for 2025

Amazon has introduced significant changes to SIOC/SIPP (Ships in Own Container/Ships in Product Packaging) chargebacks. Moving forward, eligible products will incur a compensation fee per unit shipped to Amazon, which is now tiered based on the product’s shipping weight.

🔹 < 3 kg → €1.40
🔹 3 - < 9 kg → €1.90
🔹 9 - < 12 kg → €2.60
🔹 12 - < 15 kg → €3.30
🔹 15 kg or more → €5.00

Until now, the chargeback cost was a flat rate of €1.70 per unit, regardless of weight. With the new regulation, heavier products may now incur up to €5.00 per unit in chargebacks. This change can have a significant impact on cost structures and logistics, particularly for vendors dealing with heavy products.

A Tip to Avoid Extra Costs:
👉 Keep track of your SIPP chargebacks and regularly check which of your ASINs are currently in the grace period. By certifying your ASINs for the SIPP standard early, you can proactively prevent penalties.
