Milestones of innovation: the development of the BAROS.CLOUD Software

The Beginnings of BAROS Solutions GmbH

The story of BAROS Solutions GmbH began in late 2019 when a group of visionary entrepreneurs recognized the need to assist companies in managing their Amazon Vendor Centrals and the associated costs. The focus was on developing a flexible software solution tailored to the specific needs of vendors. Under the leadership of CEO Thorsten Salaske, the company was founded with the goal of offering customized SaaS solutions for various industries. In the second quarter of 2020, the launch of "BeAm.Fi" marked a milestone, focusing on monitoring chargebacks, shortage claims, and CoOps from Amazon.

Milestones on the Path to BAROS.CLOUD

With a small team of only five people, BAROS managed to convince its first customers by the end of 2020. Driven by growing customer interest, the product continued to evolve. In early 2021, automated objections to shortage claims were introduced, followed by the ability for Amazon vendors to automatically dispute unjustified price claims.

In 2021, the team grew by just three more members, yet the functionality of BeAm.Fi expanded significantly. An interface was integrated with popular logistics providers to automatically query delivery receipts. Additionally, an intelligent digital document search was implemented, allowing users to view any items and documents across the entire Vendor Central. Another highlight was the introduction of an additional product pillar to help companies recover lost capital on a commission basis—CoOp recovery without fixed costs and additional effort for vendors.

2022: "Go Global"

The year 2022 was all about "Go Global." A comprehensive dashboard was introduced, allowing for easy comparison and management of different selling countries. In July 2022, additional features were added to increase the success rate of refunds:

  • Easy dispute initiation for CoOps following shortage claims.
  • Direct case initiation for rejected disputes of shortage claims.

With integrated features like data analysis, discount monitoring, and automated workflows, BeAm.Fi set new standards in the industry.

Growth and Expansions

Thanks to its success, BAROS expanded steadily. In 2023, the team doubled to meet the growing demand. At the same time, new features and integrations were implemented to enable vendors to work even more efficiently. These included:

  • Shortage claim analysis
  • A separate overview for "Ship in Own Container" to display chargebacks at the ASIN level
  • Return management, including information on all returns initiated by Amazon

With the expanded offering, BAROS solidified its market position. Under the new CEO Sebastian Beckmann, BeAm.Fi was rebranded in November 2023 to BAROS.CLOUD, featuring a fresh design, improved usability, and enhanced performance. This transition also brought significant improvements in disputing CoOps after shortage claims, making the tool easier to use while saving Amazon vendors considerable time and improving their cash flow.

Safe Time. Reduce Costs. Recover Thousands.

Adapting to Changing Markets and Customer Needs

After the pandemic in 2020 and the explosive growth of the online market, companies shifted their focus to improving their margins. This is where BAROS stepped in: Through effective cost reduction, margins became more attractive again. In close collaboration with customers, permanently tailored new features for the BAROS.CLOUD were developed to create opportunities for recovering funds from Amazon.

At the beginning of 2024, a comprehensive overview of all open items was implemented, enabling an easy comparison with Amazon's records. Additionally, the case initiation process was improved to allow multiple shortage claims to be processed automatically at the same time. The global document search was extensively optimized, and the CoOp recovery product pillar was expanded to include retroactive claim settlements, covering shortage claims from up to five years ago. Another service that BAROS offers without fixed costs, helping vendors recover lost capital which can then be reinvested in other areas.

In addition, the Claim KPI page was developed, allowing companies to identify the main drivers of shortages. Users can target data by ASINs and fulfillment centers, enabling them to sustainably reduce their costs. The agility of BAROS remains crucial for continued success: Through ongoing customer feedback, the software is constantly improving, optimizing users' workflows.

Looking to the Future

Today, BAROS Solutions GmbH is not just a provider of a leading SaaS solution for recovering Amazon costs, but also a strategic partner for businesses looking to drive their Amazon business forward in the long term. With a dedicated team and a clear vision, efforts are continuously being made to develop the BAROS.CLOUD further and introduce innovative features. The coming years promise exciting developments driven by innovation, adaptability, and a clear future vision. Together, let's grow successfully!
